As a result of yesterday\’s terribly tragic event at Virginia Tech, today Police Commissioner Ed Davis will convene a meeting comprised of University Security Chiefs and Senior Administrators to review response and procedure in a crisis situation.The meeting will focus on three main topics including protocol, communication and training.
The forum will begin at 12:00 pm and will be located in the Media Room at Boston Police headquarters.
Media is invited to photograph the meeting at approximately 1:30 pm. Immediately following the session at about 1:45 pm, media is invited to a debriefing session in the media room. At that time, Commissioner Davis accompanied by University security officials will give a summary of the topics discussed and will also answer questions.
Media should arrive at Police Headquarters any time before 1:30 pm to participate.
