Daily Incidents For February 26, 2007

Assault by means of Firearm Lands two in JailYesterday around 2:36pm, officers in District 3 responded to a radio call for a person with a gun at 200 Talbot Avenue. Officers were informed that two of the suspects fled towards New England Avenue and the other two fled towards Norwell Street. A description of the suspect was broadcasted as four Hispanics males wearing black jackets with orange lining and blue jeans. The first victim stated to officers that she observed four Hispanic males looking into her vehicle. The victim went on to state that she heard a noise she believed to be a window smashing. The victim stated she went outside and told the suspects that she was going to call the police at that time the suspects began walking away. The second victim began following the suspects at which point one of the suspects reached into his waistband and pulled out what he believed to be a firearm. Both victims for fear of their safety took a step back at which time the suspects fled in separate directions. Officers observed two suspects fitting the description at Torrey and Wentworth Streets. The victims were able to positively identify the two suspects. Giovanny Acevedo, 18, and Wilden Suazo, 19, both of Mattapan were arrested and charged with Attempted Breaking and Entering motor Vehicle, Buying Receiving or Concealing Stolen Goods, Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon. Mr. Suazo was also charged with Possession of Burglarious Tools. Officers did recover several car radios, navigation system and a screwdriver from the suspects.
Two Arrested After Shop Lifting Spree
Yesterday around 5:21pm, officers in District 4 responded to a radio call shoplifting in progress at 53 Huntington Avenue. On arrival officers spoke with Shaw’s security personnel, who stated that the two suspects hid sixty-seven dollars worth of merchandise in their personal bags. Alexandra Tavares, 19 and Kristen Lewis, 18, both of the North End were arrested and charged with Shoplifting and Buying, Receiving or Concealing Stolen Goods. Officers also recovered other merchandise from various stores.
Suspect Nabbed for Grabbing Cash
This morning around 1:30am, officers in District 1 responded to a radio call for a robbery at 8 Park Plaza. A description of the suspect was broadcasted as a black male wearing a black leather jacket with blue jeans just stole money from the store clerk. Officers searched the area and located two suspects fitting the description walking on Lagrange Street by Tamworth Street. The clerk stated to officers that the suspect grabbed the money from his hand, as he was about to give a customer his change. The suspect ran out of the store with the money towards Tremont Street. The victim positively identified the suspect. Timothy Taylor, 35, of Boston was arrested and charged with Unarmed Robbery, Resisting Arrest
