On February 18, 2007 at 11:05pm, officers from District 18 responded to a radio call for a motor vehicle accident with a pedestrian struck. On arrival, officers located the victim, a black male, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Beth Israel Hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced. The victim has been identified as Maurice Bogust, 22, of Dorchester.At this time, this incident is under investigation and any members of the public with information relative to this incident or any other incidents are encouraged to contact the Homicide Unit by calling (617) 343-4470 or remain anonymous by calling the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-494-TIPS.
