Warrant Arrest Leads to DrugsYesterday around 5:30pm officers from District 1 stopped several individuals known to them to conduct Field Interrogation reports. During the conversation, officers discovered that one of these individuals had several outstanding warrants for his arrest after he supplied officers with numerous false names and dates of births. The suspect, Alexander Nazzaro, 47, of East Boston was arrested and charged with two outstanding warrants for Breaking and Entering, and Shoplifting. During the booking search, the suspect was found to be in possession of 115 percocet pills and 28 oxycontin pills for which he had no prescription. The suspect was then further charged with Possession of Class B.
“Road Rage” Lands Enraged Driver in Jail
Suspect, David Mladinov, 60, of Brookline was arrested last night and charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Property Damage, Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, and Driving to Endanger. Last night around 7:15pm, officers from District 14 responded to a radio call for a hit and run at 120 Brainerd Rd. in Allston. On arrival officers spoke to the victim who reported that her car was just hit by a vehicle that fled. The victim explained that she had double-parked to allow a passenger to get out of her car, when the suspect drove up behind her and started sounding his horn. The victim further reported that when she failed to respond, the suspect rammed her car with his. The victim stated that she then attempted to get out of her to speak to the operator of the suspect motor vehicle when the car sped up and attempted to hit her. The suspect motor vehicle came so close that it struck her car and its side view mirror came off. The suspect then fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The victim and her passenger were able to get the registration number to the car and supplied that to responding officers. Armed with that information, officers located the suspect at his home and arrested him on the above noted charges.
Apprehended for Carrying a Shotgun
About 12:17am, on Sunday, February 18, 2007, officers from C-11 responded to a radio call for a man in possession of a shotgun in the parking lot of the Comfort Inn at 900 Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke to hotel security officers who stated that they observed a male carrying what appeared to be a shotgun on hotel property. The hotel security officers further stated when they approached the individual, the individual ran across Morrissey Boulevard. Witnesses say the suspect was wearing a white football jersey with the number 58 on the front and back. Then, at around 1:24am, 9-1-1 operations received a phone call from a witness stating that a black male wearing a white football jersey was seen hanging out in the backyard of 20 Bloomington Street. Officers then located the above suspect at the above address. Suspect was found hiding under a patio chair. When asked what he was doing on someone else’s property, suspect stated he was homeless and looking for a place to stay. Officers then located a white football jersey with the number 58 on it, stuffed inside a bag of ice salt on the porch. The suspect, Maurice Wynn, 20, of Dorchester, was arrested and charged for Carrying a Shotgun on a Public Way and Breaking & Entering a Dwelling at Night.
A Night of No Fun
About 1:44am, on Sunday, February 18, 2007, officers from B-3 responded to a radio call for a stabbing inside a nightclub located at 10 Dunbar Avenue in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke to a number of witnesses who stated that a man had been stabbed, but, the victim in question had already left the scene. The radio dispatcher on Channel 3 then informed officers that the victim was being treated at the Carney Hospital for a non-life threatening stab wound. Officers then responded to the hospital where they met with the victim. Victim provided officers with a description of the individual who stabbed him. According to the victim, his attacker was a 30 year-old, black male with a medium build.
OUI Driver Arrested and Charged with OUI 3rd Offense
This morning around 1:56am, officers from District 1 responded to a call for a motor vehicle accident at Arlington St. and Cortes St. in Boston. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who reported that she was stopped at the red light when another car struck her car in the rear causing her car to lunge forward and hit the car in front of her. Officers then went and to speak to the operator of the car that hit the victim’s car. Upon approaching and speaking to the operator of that car, officers immediately detected a strong odor of alcohol, and observed the operator to be glassy-eyed, and to speak with slurred speech. The operator was then asked to exit his car and perform some field sobriety tests to determine his ability to safely operate his car. The operator failed all the sobriety tests given to him including reciting the alphabet, failing to get past the letter e. Based on the operator’s inability to perform the tests, the accident, and his appearance, officers formed the opinion that he was operating under the influence of alcohol. The suspect, Peter J. Ballarin, 57, of Boston was then arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol, 3rd Offense.
