On Tuesday February 13, 2007 at 9:15 am, officers from District B-2 responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 120 George Street in Roxbury. On arrival officers were met by several other responding units and were given information that a suspect had fired a handgun at a passing vehicle. Officers received further information that the suspect may have fled toward 40-42 Langdon Street.At approximately 9:43 am, the location of 40 Langdon Street was declared a Code 99. The Boston Police Entry Team was requested to respond. A Code 99 is defined as a special threat involving the possibility of a barricaded suspect who could be armed.
Four individuals were located inside the location. Those four individuals: Jovanni Barbosa, 20, of Roxbury; Jason Barbosa, 18, of Roxbury; Ilton Correia, 23, of Roxbury and Alexander Cardoso, 21, of Quincy were arrested and charged with Breaking & Entering a Dwelling during the Daytime.
Boston Police detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant for 40 Langdon Street. That search resulted in the recovery and seizure of four firearms, a significant amount of drugs and a large amount of money.
