APPREHENDED FOR ASSAULT AND BATTERYAbout 3:52 pm, on Sunday, February 11, 2007, officers from District C-11, responded to a radio call for an assault and battery in progress at the Target Department Store on Allstate Road in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke to several witnesses who stated that they saw 4 women attack the victim, who was by herself. Moreover, the witnesses further stated that they observed one of the suspects, a 10 year-old female from Jamaica Plain, kicking the victim. Officers spoke to the suspects who stated the fight was started when the victim bumped into one of the suspects and then, according to them, refused to apologize. The 10 year-old was arrested and charged with Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Shod Foot). The other 3 suspects will be summonsed into court for Assault & Battery.
APPREHENDED FOR STEALING A CAR
At about 4:30pm, on Sunday, February 11, 2007, officers from District E-13, responded to a radio call for a stolen car coming from neighboring District B-3 into District E-13. Officers from District E-13 soon located an abandon motor vehicle, matching the description given out over the radio, on Prince Street in Roxbury. Officers were then informed that the vehicle had been abandon and the suspect (a tall, bald Hispanic male wearing a gray sweat suit) had been seen fleeing the vehicle on foot. As officers searched the area, a discarded gray sweatshirt was found in the area of the stolen car. Officers then observed an individual fitting the description of the suspect getting into another motor vehicle. Officers then activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) in an attempt to stop the motor vehicle. Once the vehicle was stopped, officers were able positively identify the suspect. Officers then arrested Erik Hernandez, 28, of Boston and charged him with Receiving A Stolen Motor Vehicle and Operating without Being Licensed.

About 10:30pm, on Sunday, February 11, 2007, officers from District B-3, received a radio call for a cab driver passing counterfeit money at the Mobil Gas Station on Blue Hill Avenue in Roxbury. On arrival, officers spoke to the clerk who stated a cab driver passed her a counterfeit 100-dollar bill. The clerk then told officers she knew the bill was counterfeit because she used a “money maker” to determine its authenticity. The clerk further explained she became suspicious of the bill because the bill looked funny and had a different color. Officers then arrested Antoine Occeus, 38, of Dorchester, and charged him with Possession and Uttering of Counterfeit Notes.
