Operation Deep FreezeOperation Deep Freeze was conducted on Saturday 27, 2007 in the downtown area making a total of seven arrests. This operation is an organized plan that used undercover officers from District 1 and the Drug Control Unit to combat drug dealing in the downtown area. Cheryl Tucker, 37, of Boston and Earl Aaron, 20, of Dorchester were arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws and Distribution of Class A. Antonio Hudson, 24, of Malden was arrested and charged with Distribution of Class B and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B within 1000’ of a School Zone. Leland Brockington, 39, Boston was arrested and charged with Distribution of Class B and Distribution of Class B with in 1000’ of a School Zone. Angel Torres, 29, of East Boston was arrested and charged with Distribution of Class A, Distribution of Class A with in 100’ Play Ground and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws. Sean Symmes, 27, of Winthrop was arrested and charged with Distribution of Class B, Distribution of Class B with in 1000’ of School Zone, Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws and Buying, Receiving or Concealing Stolen Goods. Also arrested was William Dewolfe, 31, of South Boston and charged with Buying, Receiving, or Concealing Stolen Goods, and two outstanding warrants out of South Boston District Court for Buying, Receiving or Concealing Stolen Good.
Bouncer Sustained Injuries During Attacked at Club
At 1:59am, this morning while on patrol officers in District 7 were informed that a large fight was going on in Cosmopolitan Club at 265 Chelsea Street. Officers proceeded inside to investigate, but the fight was over and the suspects fled the premise. The victim stated that he worked at the club as a bouncer and went over to ask the suspect to get down from a chair. At that time five unknown males who fled the club attacked the victim. The victim was bleeding from the mouth and sustained cuts and bruises to his hands and face. The victim was transported to New England Medical Center for treatment.
Large Fight ends in Gun Arrest
This morning around 2:24am, officers in District 2 responded to a radio call for a large fight outside of 40 Langdon Street. On arrival officers observed a large crowd of males yelling at each other and growing closer to each as if they were about to fight. Officers observed several individuals holding on to their waist area. One individual began to walk away quickly from the crowd as officer’s exited their cruisers while holding his left arm close to his body as if he was concealing something under his clothing. Officers gave commands to stop but this individual ignored the commands and continued to walk away in a rapid manner. Officers got closer and continued to order the suspect to stop. The suspect suddenly stopped still holding his left arm close to his body. Officers performed a pat frisk for weapons and felt an object consistent with a firearm. Antonio Teixeria, 21, of Newton was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possess of a loaded Firearm and Possession of a Firearm with Altered Serial Numbers. Officers did recover a firearm from the suspect.
