This afternoon at about 2:50pm, officers from District 11 observed an incident at 1353 Dorchester Avenue. As the officers approached the scene, they observed a taxi on the sidewalk against the Dorchester House. The officers observed a large group of people attempting to lift the taxi which had a person trapped underneath it. Boston EMS treated the victims’ and transported them to local hospitals. The victim trapped under the vehicle, an elderly female from Dorchester, was pronounced later at the Boston Medical Center. The other three victims sustained non-life threatening injuries and are expected to live. Police are still investigating this incident and no charges have been filed against the driver of the taxi.
