DAILY INCIDENTS FOR DECEMBER 12, 2006

Suspect Arrested for Stealing Bicycle Off of a TruckLast night around 6:00pm, officers from District 2 in the area of Annunciation Rd. arrested Kevin Pires, 17, of Dorchester and charged him with Larceny from a Motor Vehicle.
Officers were in the area due to a number of reported larcenies from motor vehicles. There, officers made observation of a motor vehicle occupied by three males. Those three individuals exited their motor vehicle and started looking at a truck with a mountain bed in the rear bed. The three individuals appeared to engage in conversation and then the suspect proceeded to the rear bed of the truck and took the mountain bike. After observing this, officers then attempted to stop the suspect at which time he fled in order to evade arrest. Officers were able to catch the suspect after a brief pursuit and recovered the bicycle.
Hotel Guest Arrested for Stealing Video Equipment
Around 6:20pm yesterday, officers from District 4 responded to 350 Stuart St./Hotel Jury to investigate a theft. On arrival, officers spoke to the caller who reported that a guest who had stolen some video equipment the day before was now back in the hotel. Officers viewed video surveillance which showed the suspect enter the conference room and leave with the stolen item. While on scene, the suspect returned to the hotel and was placed under arrest. Suspect, Michael Gasior, 46, of Middleton was arrested and charged with Larceny over $250.00.
Unarmed Robbery Suspect Placed Under Arrest Post “Confession”
About 1:28am today offices from District 4 responded to Lenox St. and Tremont St. for a robbery in progress. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who reported that he was assaulted and robbed of his money by the suspect who fled the area. Officers placed the victim in their cruiser and searched the area for the suspect. Officers located an individual matching the suspect description a short distance from the location of the robbery and that individual was positively identified by the victim. After stopping the suspect, before being told the reason why he was stopped, the suspect stated to officers, “No, I don’t have any money on me, and I did not rob nobody!”
Suspect, Randal Martin, 38, of Worcester was arrested and charged with Unarmed Robbery. During the booking search the suspect was found to be in possession of several bags of crack cocaine for which he was charged with Possession of Class B and two outstanding warrants out of Worcester District Court.
