BOSTON POLICE ARREST MURDER SUSPECT IN HYDE PARK AVE. STABBING INCIDENT

The Boston Police Homicide Unit announces the arrest of 32 year-old Haussan L. Harris of Brockton for the October 12, 2006 stabbing murder of Jeff Igbineweka,28, of Roslindale.As a result of Boston Police investigative efforts, homicide detectives applied for and were granted an arrest warrant for Harris. Last night members of the Youth Violence Strike Force Apprehension Team located and arrested Harris by virtue of his outstanding warrant.
On Thursday October 12,2006, officers from District 18 responded to 1282 Hyde Park Ave. On arrival, officers observed Mr. Igbineweka suffering from a stab wound. Mr. Igbineweka was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital where he was later pronounced. This homicide is the result of a personal dispute between the victim and the suspect.
Last night, Harris was arrested and booked for murder and is expected to be arraigned at West Roxbury District Court later today.
