Person Shot In RoxburyLast night around 11:18pm, officers in District 13 responded to a radio call for shots fired behind the school on School Street and shots fired in the area of Cleaves Court. Prior to arrival officers were informed that a person was shot and was walking down Columbus Avenue towards Washington Street. Officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to leg outside of 1989 Columbus Avenue. The victim was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injury.
Food Delivery man robbed by handgun
This morning around 12:33am, officers in District 14 responded to a radio call for an armed robbery at 136 Washington Street. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, who stated after making a food delivery he was stopped as he returned to his vehicle and was robbed of his money. The victim stated a suspect pulled out a gun and demanded his money, which he gave to a second suspect. Both suspect fled into Fidelis Way Housing Projects. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
Man Arrested After Attacking Three People with Machete
Early this morning around 12:40am, officers in district 7 responded to 9 Saratoga Street for a fight. On arrival officers located three victim’s bleeding. The victim’s stated to officers that they were at a party when a fight started with a person who came to party without permission. The victim’s gave officers a description of the suspect that stabbed them and then fled on Saratoga Street towards Marion Street. Officers broadcast a description and seconds later officers observed an individual fitting that description at Saratoga and Prescott Street. All three victims’ positively identified the suspect that had stabbed them. Officers arrested Wilfreo Antonio Barrientos-Alvarado, 26, of Brighton and charged him with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon. All three victims were transported to Mass General Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Officers did recover a machete at the scene.
Two Arrested in Stolen Vehicle
Around 1:17am, officers in District 11 observed vehicle in front of them traveling at a high rate of speed. Officers were able to catch up to the vehicle; further investigation revealed the vehicle was reported stolen out of Somerville. Officers were able to stop the vehicle at Dorchester Avenue and Park Street. The operator informed officers that the vehicle was given to her and she was not on the rental agreement. Husniya Anderson, 24, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle and Operating After Suspension or Revocation. Also arrested Nakia Watkins, 28, of Dorchester for Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle and an outstanding warrant for Larceny Over $250 out of Dedham District Court.
