Husband Arrested on Capias WarrantYesterday morning at approximately 11:11am, officers responded to 8 Verrill Street in Mattapan to help a woman remove her husband from the residence. The suspect, David Myers, 38, of Boston, allowed police to enter the apartment where they recovered a shotgun and another firearm from the premises. Myers also had a woman inside the apartment, Ashley Holland, 22, of Winchester who was arrested for having two outstanding warrants. Myers was arrested and charged with possession of a machine gun, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a large capacity feeding device and for a Capias warrant.
Armed Home Invasion Results in Three Arrests
Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force responded to a radio call at 11:00 last night for a Home Invasion in progress on Washington Street. Upon arrival, officers found a victim in the front hall of the residence with lacerations. The officers searched the premises and found three armed suspects in the basement of the building. The suspects, Edward Melara and Adrian Rivera, both 18 from Jamaica Plain, and Ferdinand Rivera, 28, of Roxbury, were extracted from the basement and arrested. After searching the residence, officers recovered two firearms as well as a large plastic bag of crack cocaine from the scene. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
