One Arrested and One Wanted in Bourneside Street Homicides

On December 13, 2005 at 9:45pm, officers from District 11 responded to 43 Bourneside Street in Dorchester after receiving a 911 call for a person shot at that location. On arrival officers went to the basement of that location and discovered four males suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Three of the males were pronounced dead at the scene and the fourth was taken to Boston Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. The area the victims were located is a finished living space containing some electronic equipment including; television sets, stereo/radio equipment and some recording equipment.Today officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force at the direction of the Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit arrested Robert Turner, 19, of Boston, charging him with Accessory After the Fact/Murder (four counts), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of an Assault Weapon (AK-47), and Possession of a Shotgun. Detectives from the Homicide Unit have secured an arrest warrant for Calvin Carnes Jr, 19, of Dorchester charging him with Murder, (four counts), Armed Robbery, (four counts), Unlawful Possession of Firearm, and Possession of an Assault Weapon, and Possession of Shotgun. Calvin Carnes remains at large at this time.
