Erratic Driving Yields to Gun ArrestYesterday afternoon at approximately 2:30pm, officers on patrol at Columbus Avenue and Tremont Street observed two motor vehicles accelerating at a high rate of speed at a green light. When the suspect vehicles were pulled over, officers observed a partially smoked marijuana cigarette in the second vehicle. The suspect in the passenger seat, David Nunez, 18, of Boston, also had a small firearm in his front pocket. The officers seized the firearm and Nunez was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Class D.
Gun and Drug Arrest in Norfolk Park
Officers from District B3, while on patrol in the Norfolk Park area last evening, observed several known individuals that smelled of freshly burned marijuana. Upon inquiry, one of the suspects, Giovanni Goley, 19, of Mattapan, admitted that the marijuana was his. He was booked and charged with Possession of Class D. The other three suspects remained nervous with police presence, therefore resulting in pat frisks for fear of a weapon. While looking in another suspect’s handbag, the officers recovered a firearm. Elcelia Guillen, 18, of Mattapan was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm.
Fight in Walnut Park Leads to Gun/Drug Arrest
Last night at about 10:52pm, officers responded to 67 Walnut Park for a radio call of a fight. Upon arrival, officers observed a suspect clutching his waist as he fled the scene. The suspect dropped a loaded firearm behind some bushes prior to being apprehended. The suspect, a 17 year old from Roxbury, was placed under arrest for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. During booking, officers observed the suspect to also be in possession of a plastic bag filled with crack cocaine. The drugs and the firearm were both seized and logged.
Three Arrested for Prostitution
Officers from District A1 responded to Church and Piedmont Streets early this morning for a call in regards to prostitution activity in the area. While in the area, officers observed three suspects blocking traffic and engaging in conversations with individuals in their vehicles. Nicole Lassiter, 20, of Dorchester, Raisa Adbur-Raheem, 21, of New Bedford, and Alexis Rosado, 21, of Chambergurg, Penn. were all arrested for Disturbing the Peace and transported to the local police station for booking.
