Yesterday at 2:50pm, officers assigned to the District 3 Drug Control Unit arrested Leon Dorsainvil-Cave, 31, of Dorchester, Jermaine Ivester, 35 and Aaron Almeida, 35, both of Hyde Park, and charged them with trafficking in Marijuana after they accepted delivery of a car containing over 200lbs of the drug. On May 14th, Boston Officers received information from the New Jersey State Police that a car packed with marijuana was discovered after troopers stopped a car transport carrier for a safety inspection. An initial investigation revealed that the pot packed car was loaded on the carrier in Tucson, Arizona and headed across country with a final destination in Boston. Police in Boston, working in conjunction with the New Jersey authorities, set in motion a controlled delivery of the car to take place on May 16th. Surveillance of the delivery area was set up when suspects Ivester and Almeida arrived at the target location, 356 Harvard Street, Dorchester. Within moments, the delivery of the car was made to and signed for by suspect Dorsainvil-Cave. Once the delivery was complete officers announced their presence and converged on the suspects. Initially all three attempted to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended by police. A search warrant was obtained for 356 Harvard Street and seized pursuant to that warrant was a loaded 9mm handgun along with other drug paraphernalia.
