Four Arrested for Gun PossessionWhile on patrol last evening at approximately 8pm in Dorchester, officers responded to 27 Harvard Street for calls of shots fired. While going to the scene, the officers observed the vehicle that fit the broadcasted description of the suspect vehicle. Officers pulled over the vehicle and conducted a pat frisk on the four suspects in the car, but to no avail. After searching the car, a black firearm was found under the front passenger seat. All four suspects were placed under arrest for carrying a weapon without a proper license. Dasean Leggett, 19, of Dorchester and three juveniles, two males from Dorchester and a female from Mattapan, were charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition and an assortment of citations and warrant violations.
Juvenile Robs Woman in Dorchester
Last night at 8:42pm, a woman who stated she was robbed at gunpoint at Bernard and Kerwin Streets flagged officers down at 87 Norwell Street in Dorchester. She stated that she was walking to the bus stop with her daughter when an unknown black male walked up to them, displayed a firearm and grabbed the victim’s wallet. She gave a description of the suspect, which was broadcasted over proper radio channels. The victim refused medical treatment for her and her daughter. Officers in the area near Talbot Avenue observed a suspect matching the description that the victim gave. The victim positively identified the suspect, a 15-year-old from Dorchester, and the juvenile was arrested and charged with Delinquent to Wit: Armed Robbery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
Store 24 Robbed in Dorchester
Early this morning at about 5:01am, officers responded to a radio call for a Store 24 in Dorchester that has just been robbed. The victim stated that the unknown suspect, wearing a black ski mask, entered the store, brandished a firearm and told the clerk to give him money. The victim obliged and the suspect fled the scene. The area was searched but to no avail. This incident remains under investigation.
