Four Arrested After Downtown FightOfficers from District 1 observed a large group of people fighting at Stuart and Tremont Streets at 3:00am this morning. Four of the combatants, Evan Allison, 23, Dana Clarke, 24, Lydia Mann, 26 and Ledisha Shepard, 24, were arrested and charged with Affray and Disorderly Conduct. One of the arrestees told the officers that Shepard had stabbed a friend of his just prior to the altercation. A stab victim was located at Boston Medical Center with a stab wound to the left shoulder. The victim made a positive identification and as a result Shepard will be charged additionally with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon, (knife.)
Pair Arrested for Keeping a Disorderly House
At 1:10am this morning officers in Brighton responded to 1682 Commonwealth Avenue for a loud party. According to witnesses, the partygoers were on the rooftop throwing beer bottles and other debris off the roof at pedestrians. Officers located the tenants, Gia Campanella and Liam Sullivan, both 18, and placed them under arrest for Keeping a Disorderly House. All other guests were escorted off the property.
Dorchester Man Arrested for Kidnapping
An officer in District 6 was flagged down by a victim at 11:20pm last night at 150 Old Colony Avenue. According to the victim, she received a call from a male claiming he had found her pocketbook at a yacht club in Dorchester. The victim agreed to meet the suspect at the Hess Gas Station on Old Colony Avenue to retrieve her purse. When she arrived at the gas station she was forced into a van against her will. The suspect continued to drive around with the victim until she was able to escape in the D Street Housing Development and flag down the officer. The suspect, 44-year-old Kenneth Bruneau of Dorchester was located and arrested for kidnapping. The victim was unharmed and reported no injuries.
Courthouse Encounter Leads to Arrest
At 2:05pm yesterday a Detective from District 1 arrested 23-year-old David French inside the Suffolk Superior Courthouse in Pemberton Square. The detective was walking on the 9th floor with a victim and a witness in a separate case when they spotted French walking with a friend. The victim told the detective that French had shot at him on April 26th, 2006 at 15 Spencer Street and had riddled his house with bullets. The victim and witness were escorted from the area and French was taken into custody charged with the April 26th, shooting incident.
