14-year-old Shot in RoxburyLast night at approximately 9:25pm, officers responded to a radio call for shots fired at Harold and Holworthy Streets in Roxbury. Upon arrival, officers located a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The victim, a 14-year-old Roxbury girl, was standing at the intersection when an unknown male exited a motor vehicle, fired a gun, then got back in the car and fled. The victim was treated by EMS before being transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Ballistic evidence from the scene was recovered and the incident remains under investigation.
Man Arrested for Disturbing Sox Game
Officers assigned to the Fenway Park Detail last night observed Matthew Higgins, a 26-year-old Watertown man, run onto the baseball field during a Red Sox game. The game had to be stopped for approximately three minutes while Boston Police and Fenway Park Security escorted Higgins off the field. He was placed under arrest for Disturbing a Public Assembly and transported to District 4 for booking. The disturbance didn’t hinder the Sox, as they beat the Devil Rays 9-1.
Man Stabbed in Charlestown by Group of Juveniles
Last night at 2:15am, a 48-year-old black man from Charlestown was walking on Walford Way in Charlestown when a group of approximately six black and Hispanic males attacked him and stabbed him in the back multiple times. They attempted to rob the victim but the victim fled in an opposite direction where he called 911. He was transported to a local hospital and officers searched the area for the suspects. Officers observed two suspects walking down the street who matched the description given by the victim. The suspects, two 16-year-olds, one from Jamaica Plain and one from Charlestown, were both placed under arrest for Delinquent to Wit: Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Attempted Murder and Attempted Armed Robbery.
Man Stabbed on Ironsides Way
Officers responded to a radio call last night at 10:42pm at 104 Old Ironsides Way for a man stabbed. Upon arrival, officers observed the victim bleeding from the left flank area. He stated he was attacked and stabbed once by a group of approximately 10 teenaged males on Monument Street. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries while officers searched the area for suspects. The incident is to be further investigated.
20-year-old Shot in Dorchester
Officers from District 3 responded to 113 Evans Street last night for shots fired. Upon arrival, the victim, a 20-year-old Dorchester man, was being treated by the EMS for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his upper abdomen before he was transported to a local hospital. The victim stated he did not see anything, but a few witnesses noticed a black motor vehicle drive off after an unknown black male got into the car. Ballistic evidence was recovered and the incident is to be further investigated.
