The suspect involved in today’s police shooting has been identified as 31-year-old Mark Botelho of Arlington, Massachusetts. He remains in stable condition at Mass. General Hospital with a single non-life threatening gunshot wound to the abdomen.Botelho faces numerous charges including: 4 counts of Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle, and several violations of the auto laws. He also had an active warrant out for his arrest, for a previous charge of Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle. He will be arraigned once his physicians and the Boston Municipal Court determine that he can understand the charges brought against him.
