Dorchester Man Stabbed in ChestAt 3:19am this morning, officers from District 2 responded to Blue Hill Avenue and Devon Street for a person stabbed. A 33-year-old male victim told the officers that three males approached him and stabbed him in the chest. According to the victim the three then jumped into a blue Honda and sped away. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Pair Arrested After Party Assault
Police were called to 15 Patten Street in Jamaica Plain at 2:38 this morning for an unknown problem. Officers were directed to the third floor and observed two men involved in a heated argument and a third male laying on the floor with his hands secured behind his back. Further investigation revealed that one of the parties involved in the argument was a constable and had asked the two men to leave the apartment. A fight ensued between the trio during which the constable was struck in the face with a bottle, causing a large cut over his eye. The victim was able to secure one of the males on the floor until police arrived. Two men, Hani Hassan Ali, 33 of Roslindale and Gustavo Rojas, 22 of Boston were arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. The constable was taken to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Shooting Ends Dorchester Party
Officers in District 11 responded to 73 Charles Street at 11:58 last night on a report of a person shot. An 18-year-old female was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to her right lower leg. According to the victim, she was attending a party at this address and was shot by person(s) unknown to her as she was leaving. She was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. This investigation is ongoing.
Two Arrested for Armed Robbery
Officers in District 13 were called to meet the victim of a robbery at 141 Green Street at 10:48pm last night. Officers spoke with a female victim who stated that two suspects, a male and a female, approached her as she was walking on Green Street and robbed her of her purse. One of the suspects displayed a gun. Both fled on foot after the robbery. A description of the suspects was given over the radio and officers stopped two people matching the description on nearby South Street. The victim positively identified the pair and both were arrested. Jasmin Cobb, 18 of Jamaica Plain and a 16-year-old Juvenile male are both charged with the armed robbery. Officers recovered a BB gun and the victim’s pocketbook in a yard on South Street.
Two Guns, Four Arrested, Drugs Seized
At 7:30pm last night officers in the Youth Violence Strike Force were on patrol in Dorchester when they observed a large group of males outside 74 Westville Street. Upon further investigation, the officers recovered two loaded firearms, ammunition, crack cocaine and marijuana. Arrested in connection with this incident was Chandel Strothers, 24, of Dorchester, Sean Goode, 25, of East Boston, Juan Suarez, 17, of Dorchester and Juvenile, 15 of Dorchester. All will be arraigned Tuesday in Dorchester District Court.
Gun Recovered During Traffic Stop
Officers from District 3 observed a car obstructing traffic on Stratton Street at 6:53pm last evening. The car pulled away as officers approached and based on observations made by the officers, the car was stopped on Lyford Street. Upon further investigation officers recovered a loaded 9mm handgun and several bags of marijuana from inside the vehicle. Justin Bly, 17, and Christopher Fowler, 18, both of Dorchester were arrested upon the discovery of the gun and drugs.
