Man Arrested at Stash’s PizzaSaturday night at approximately 12:10am, officers responded to a radio call at 612 Blue Hill Avenue for a sexual offense. When they arrived at the location, Stash’s Pizza, they observed a man lying down in the restaurant with his pants down around his ankles. The man, Curtis Woods, 33, of Methuen, was indecently exposed and extremely intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure.
Bar Fight Results in Gun Arrest
Sunday morning at about 2:15am, officers responded to a bar on Davenport and Tremont Streets for a large fight. Once the crowd was dispersed, the officers observed two males running away from the scene. During the foot pursuit, they noticed one of the individuals carrying what they thought to be a black firearm. A witness to the incident noticed the suspect toss a weapon into some bushes. After the suspect was apprehended, the officers found the weapon and arrested the suspect, Jerome Young, a 36-year-old Brockton man, on charges of Unlawfully Possessing a Firearm.
Four Arrests for Unlawfully Carrying Weapons
Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force responded to 735 Shawmut Avenue yesterday afternoon at approximately 4pm for calls of shots fired. While searching the area, they observed a black Honda that was operating erratically. The passengers of the vehicle fit the description of the suspects who fired a weapon, so officers conducted an inquiry of the occupants of the vehicle. All four suspects exited the vehicle and were handcuffed for the safety of the officers. The suspects and the vehicle were searched. The officers recovered two firearms, one from inside the vehicle, and one in the pocket of one of the suspects. All four suspects, Milton Watson, 20, of Dorchester, and three Roxbury residents, Stanley Young, 18, Anthony Worrell, 23, and Frankie James, 21, were arrested on assorted weapon violations.
Cracked Windshield Leads to Four Arrests
Officers on patrol at Amory and Boylston Streets last night observed a vehicle with a cracked windshield. By checking with the Registry of Motor Vehicles, the officers learned that the owner of the vehicle was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service. When the officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle, one of the passengers fled the vehicle. He was apprehended and, after a brief struggle, arrested. Officers arrested the two other passengers of the vehicle as well when they observed a silver firearm sitting in the passenger seat of the car. All three suspects, Bruce Knight, 22, of Jamaica Plain, Tommy Rodriguez, 20, of Roslindale and Richard Bevanes, 19, of Jamaica Plain, were all charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition. Knight was also charged with Resisting Arrest. The U.S. Marshals were notified and the owner of the vehicle, Mark McDowell, was taken into custody as well.
Working for Bud Doesn’t Make You Wiser
Officers responded to a radio call at 24 Yawkey Way this morning at approximately 9:35am for an industrial accident where a worker was injured. The victim, a Budweiser employee from Nashua, N.H., was riding on a pallet jack moving beer kegs when the jack lost power and began to roll backwards. The victim was propelled from the machine and suffered injuries to his back and arm. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
