At Least They Were ParkedTwo underage Hyde Park residents were arrested yesterday for Possession of Alcohol and Public Drinking when an officer observed beer cans in the parking lot in close proximity to the car they were sitting in. The officer noticed open containers in the car as well, and the 20 year old and 17 year old were transported to the local station for booking. A third person in the vehicle, after further investigation, was discovered to be a missing person. He was transported separately to the station and the car was towed.
Broken Taillight Leads to Drug/Gun Arrests
Officers in the Youth Violence Strike Force Unit were on patrol on Columbia Road last night at approximately 7pm when they noticed a black Mercedes operating with a defective taillight. After the officers pulled the vehicle over, they learned that the driver was operating the car under a suspended license. They performed a motor vehicle inventory before towing the vehicle and found a handgun in the backseat of the car. The operator of the car, William Gonzalez of Roslindale, was arrested for Operating after Suspension and Defective Equipment. The passenger in the vehicle, Giorgio Lopez of Boston, admitted to owning the gun and to having three bags of marijuana in his pocket. He was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Possession of Class D.
What Was In His Slurpee?
Last night at 8:30pm, officers responded to the 7-11 at 125 Tremont Street for a fight inside the convenience store. Upon arrival, officers observed the two victims, who were employees at the store, physically struggling with the suspect. The suspect, Justen Bush, 37, of Boston, was reportedly drinking alcohol and harassing customers outside of the store. When the victims asked Bush to leave, he became violent and followed them into the store, punching and biting them. He also struggled with the officers when they attempted to restrain him. Bush was arrested with charges of Assault and Battery, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.
Roxbury Juvenile Arrested for Possession of Firearm
Early this morning around 12:30am, officers were on patrol in the high crime area of Harvard and Norwell Streets. They noticed a black male with a baggy sweatshirt who made a gesture as if he was in possession of a firearm. When officers stopped to question the suspect, he fled the scene. During the foot pursuit, officers observed the suspect clutch at his waist as if he had a gun. Officers, with the help of Alliance Security specialists who witnessed the incident, were able to apprehend the suspect and disarm him of his weapon, a fully loaded firearm. The suspect, a 16-year-old from Roxbury, was arrested and charged with Delinquent to Wit: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Resisting Arrest.
