Weymouth Man Arrested Breaking into South End HomeA 37-year-old Weymouth man was arrested yesterday afternoon after he was seen breaking into a home on Appleton Street. Police were called at 1:09pm and were informed by a witness that a man, wearing dark clothing just pried the screen, forced open a window and climbed into 97 Appleton Street. Officers arrived and observed the damage to the window. One officer climbed through the open window while another officer entered through the front door. The suspect, Michael Fuller was located in the front hallway and was taken into custody after being identified by the witness. Fuller was also wanted on several warrants out of Hingham District Court.
Columbia Road Shooting
Officers from District 2 responded to 531 Columbia Road yesterday at 5:35pm for a person shot. A 17-year-old male was found with an apparent gunshot wound to his left upper leg. The incident happened inside the New York Fried Chicken when 4-5 males entered and shot at the victim striking him in the leg. The suspects fled the store and the victim was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Carjacking Suspect Sought
Just after 8pm last night officers from District 4 responded to the rear of 451 Beacon Street to meet the victim of a carjacking. According to the victim, she was sitting in her 2006 blue BMW and was approached by an unknown black male who asked her for the time. The suspect walked away and returned carrying a cinder block. The suspect hit the driver’s side window with the block, opened the door and removed the victim by force. He fled with the victim’s car onto Beacon Street. The victim was not injured. At about 1:45am the vehicle was located parked and unattended in the rear of 111 Park Drive. It was towed and is in police custody for processing.
Gun Recovered, One Arrested in Hyde Park
At about 9:11pm last night officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force were conducting an investigation in the area of River Street and Metropolitan Avenue. Their investigation led to the recovery of a loaded .25 caliber handgun and the arrest of 21-year-old Kevin Lacarte of Hyde Park. Lacarte was with a group of males standing waiting for a bus. Officers discovered the gun, after being directed to it by witnesses, under the front steps of a residence on River Street. Lacarte was identified and arrested for the illegal possession of the gun.
Anti-Crime Officers Seize Gun, Drugs and Suspect
About 12:31am this morning, Anti Crime officers from District 2 conducted a motor vehicle stop at Dudley Street and Wendover Street of a black Mitsubishi with three occupants. The rear seat passenger was removed from the vehicle and officers recovered two large plastic bags of marijuana from his waist area. Officers also recovered a loaded .45 caliber Colt firearm from floor in the rear of the car. Officers arrested 22-year-old Shajabber McRae of Brooklyn, NY charging him with Possession of Class D and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition. The other occupants were questioned and released.
Male Arrested for Baseball Bat Assault
Officers from District 2 responded to 2 Wigglesworth Street at 2:16 this morning for an assault. Officers located a male victim on the floor inside the front hallway. EMS was called and the victim was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. A second male at the scene told officers that he and the victim had an argument and the victim came at him with a nail gun. This second male then told the officers that he struck the victim with a bat several times. The second male, 39-year-old John Conley was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by means of Dangerous Weapon (Bat). The investigation in ongoing.
Two Shot Outside Dorchester Party, Host Arrested
District 3 officers responded to 7 Harwood Street at 2:46 this morning for shots fired. A 32-year-old male victim told officers that he was at a party inside the Harwood Street apartment when 4 unknown males entered and began arguing with him. The argument moved outside and that’s when the victim heard gunshots and realized he had been hit in the hand. The victim was taken to an area hospital for a non-life threatening injury. A second victim, a 22-year-old male walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower left leg. According to this victim, he too was shot while outside 7 Harwood Street. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The female host of the party, 20-year-old Hemaude Pierre was arrested for: Keeping a Disorderly House.
