Last evening at approximately 7:20pm, officers on random patrol on Clifford and Warren Streets in South Boston noticed a White BMW outside of a liquor store. The officers knew that a car fitting that description had been involved in an armed robbery on Massachusetts Avenue. Upon further investigation, officers noticed three black males in the vehicle that fit the description of the suspects involved in the robbery. The officers pulled the vehicle over to continue their investigation when the driver told the officer he didn’t have a driver’s license. All three suspects stepped out of the car and the officers observed a firearm in the car. The suspects were arrested. When the victim of the robbery arrived at the scene, he identified the suspects.Officers seized the firearm from the vehicle, along with five rounds of ammunition and a small bag of cocaine.
James Wise, 46, of Dorchester was charged with Armed Robbery to Wit: Firearm and Armed Career Criminal. Dennis Willis, 38, of Boston was charged with Armed Robbery to Wit: Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Second and Subsequent Offence, Possession of Ammunition Second and Subsequent Offence, Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License and Being an Armed Career Criminal. Antoine Kelley, 27, of Charlestown was charged with Armed Robbery to Wit: Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Second and Subsequent Offence, Possession of Ammunition Second and Subsequent Offence, Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, Possession of Class B Drugs and Armed Career Criminal.
