Adult Male Stabbed on Farrar Avenue in Hyde Park This morning at about 2:45am, officers from District 18 responded to 111 Farrar Avenue in Hyde Park for a person down in the Street. On arrival, the officers observed a 21-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury. The investigation continues.
Found Firearm on Arbutus Street
Yesterday afternoon, officers from District 3 responded to 6 Arbutus Street on a report of a found firearm. The stolen firearm was recovered and sent to the Ballistic Unit for further investigation.
Suspect Arrested with Firearm on Blue Hill Avenue
Officers from District 3 responded to 1583 Blue Hill Avenue this morning at about 1:36am on a report of a person with a firearm. The witnesses on scene informed officers that a male was in the bar with a firearm and broke the front window of the establishment. Witnesses positively identified Gregory Skillman, 30, of Dorchester who was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Ammunition, and Malicious Destruction of Property.
Jamaica Plain Man Shot on Centre Street
Officers from District 13 responded to a radio call at Children’s Hospital for a person shot around 8:15pm last night. The victim stated he was walking down 360 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain when three unknown black males robbed him. The victim sustained a gun shot wound to his upper thigh and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Firearm Recovery Results in Two Arrests
Yesterday at 5:45pm, officers from District 4 observed two known Boston residents in front of Castle Court Housing Development on Tremont Street. One of the suspects, 18-year-old Courtney Galvez, began sprinting away from the officers and clutching his waist as if he were carrying a weapon. Officers pursued the suspect and arrested him, recovering a firearm, ammunition and a half pint of brandy. He was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Minor in Possession of Alcohol. The other suspect was on probation and was arrested for Trespassing at Castle Court.
