Two Juveniles Arrested for Multiple Robberies in Dorchester

Numerous units from District 11 responded to a radio call last night for an Armed Robbery in Progress at 1475 Dorchester Avenue at about 8:07pm. Officers located a victim who provided them with a detailed description of the two suspects that attempted to rob him of his wallet and then fled toward Adams Street. The units began a search of the area and located two suspects matching the description of the suspects at 28 Acadia Street. The officers stopped the suspects and brought the victim to Acadia Street where the victim positively identified the suspects as the two who attempted to rob him of his wallet. The victim further stated that at the time of the robbery, one suspect was armed with a knife. No knife was recovered from the suspects and officers searched the area to no avail. Both suspects were transported to District 11 where they were charged with Delinquency to wit: Assault with intent to Rob.Detectives from District 11 assisted and noticed the description of the two suspects matched an incident that occurred ninety minutes earlier at 1475 Dorchester Avenue. In that incident, an officer from District 11 responded to a Crime in Progress at Dorchester Avenue and Faulkner Street. The officer spoke with the victim who stated that he was approached by two teen-age males who asked the victim if he had money. When the victim stated no, the suspects took his white Boston Red Sox hat and fled in an unknown direction. One of the suspects arrested for the incident at 1475 Dorchester Avenue was in possession of this victim’s hat. Both 15-year-old suspects will be arraigned on Monday morning at the Dorchester District Court.
