Brockton Man Arrested for Check Cashing SchemeA 24-year-old Brockton man was arrested yesterday at 9:15am inside the Bank of America, 1440 Dorchester Avenue, for attempting to cash a fraudulent check. James Pierre-Charles walked into the bank on February 13th and deposited a check in the amount of $13,750.00 drawn on an account of Commerce Insurance. Commerce informed the bank that the check was stolen and when Pierre-Charles returned to withdraw the cash he was taken into custody by District 11 officers.
Male Shot in South End
About 11:30pm last night, officers in District 4 responded to 29 Village Court for a person shot. Located was an 18-year-old Boston man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. This investigation is ongoing.
Pair Arrested in Dorchester with Gun
Officers from District 3 arrested a 16-year-old juvenile male and 17-year-old Julio Morales in the area of 240 Westview Street at 12:55am this morning. Morales was found to be carrying a loaded .380 caliber handgun and was immediately taken into custody. The juvenile was arrested for assaulting the officers in an attempt to run away. Arraignment is today in Dorchester District Court.
Duo Arrested for Jumping on Taxi Cab
Officers from District 1 responded to 160 Milk Street for a vandalism in progress. Two males, 22-year-old Timothy Butler of South Weymouth and 21-year-old James Mulligan of Dedham were arrested after they kicked and jumped on the hood of a Taxicab stopped for a traffic light outside of Jose McIntyre’s bar. Witnesses told officers that the pair jumped on the cab, kicked its doors and spit on the driver through an open window. Both men were very intoxicated and will be arraigned today in Boston Municipal Court.
