Search Warrant Leads to Firearm RecoveryYesterday afternoon at 2:20pm, officers from District 11 responded to 751 Washington St. to execute a search warrant. Upon arrival, officers arrested the resident, a 19-year-old Dorchester man from previous charges. While performing a search warrant, officers recovered firearms and ammunition from the bedroom of the suspect’s mother.
Shots Fired in Roxbury
Last night at 2981 Washington St. in Roxbury at approximately 7:55pm, officers heard shots fired then observed two suspects fleeing the scene. Their firearms were located and recovered. The victim, a 22-year-old Dorchester man, was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to Boston Medical Center for treatment. The suspects are still at large.
Firearm Recovered After Three Arrests Made
Last night at 11:09pm, officers from District 3 were on patrol on Blue Hill Ave. and Fessenden St. They observed three known individuals clutching their waists as if they were carrying a weapon. When police stopped their cruiser, the suspects fled in opposite directions. During the chase, one of the suspects pulled out a firearm and aimed it at an officer’s head. The officers chased after the suspects and were eventually apprehended. All three suspects, 2 18-year-olds and a 17-year-old from Dorchester, were arrested for an array of violations, such as Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Unlawfully Carrying Ammunition and Disorderly Conduct. A firearm was later recovered and ammunition was seized.
Man Shot at Woodbine St.
Officers responded to 14 Woodbine St. in District 2 last night at 11:33pm after a radio call of shots fired and a person being shot. The victim, a 20-year-old Dorchester man, was shot in the right shoulder. He was treated at the scene by EMS and then transported to Boston Medical Center for further treatment.
Drunk Driver Causes Fender Bender
About 1:04am last night, officers from District 4 responded to a radio call for a motor vehicle accident on Commonwealth Ave. and Charlesgate East. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a metro cab driver that stated he was at a red light when he was hit from behind by a black BMW, causing minor damage. When officers spoke to the driver of the BMW, they smelled alcohol on his breath. The man, a 28-year-old from Southborough, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. His license was seized and his car was towed.
