Four Arrested for Violating the Auto, Drug, and Gun Laws This morning at about 1:18am, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force observed a vehicle containing four people operating without its headlights on. With the assistance of District 11 officers, a motor vehicle stop was conducted at 26 Bellevue Street. The operator of the motor vehicle informed officers that he was operating the vehicle after his driver’s license was suspended. A second individual admitted to being in possession of a couple bags of marijuana. All the occupants were removed from the motor vehicle and an officer the found a loaded firearm with obliterated serial numbers under a seat. The following people were arrested: Vanderlee Fernandes, 19, of Brockton; Amilton Araujo, 21, of Brockton; Steven Semedo, 22, of Brockton, and Edwardo Marques, 24, of Dorchester. All four will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court where they will be charged with violations of the auto laws, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a firearm with altered serial numbers, and possession of Class D substance.
Two Treated at Hospital After Lansdowne Street Attack
A 22-year-old male from Lawrence and a 22-year-old male from Methuen were treated at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center this morning after Elie Rouhana, 25, of Norwood hit them over the head with a 2X4 piece of wood. The incident occurred at about 2:09am inside the Pilgrim Parking Lot on Lansdowne Street. According to witnesses, the suspect was spraying fire extinguishers at people in the garage. He then attacked the two victims hitting them both.

Two Arrested with a Firearm After a Traffic Stop in the Back Bay

An officer assigned to District 4 observed a motor vehicle traveling in the wrong direction at Huntington Avenue and Forsyth Street. After stopping the vehicle, the officer discovered the operator was wanted on a shoplifting warrant. The operator was arrested and a firearm was discovered in the vehicle. Police arrested Jermaine Cannon, 26, of Chelsea and Michael Bautista, 26, of Jamaica Plain. Both were charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. They will be arraigned in the Roxbury District Court.
Officers Discover a Foul Odor While Arresting Suspect in Dorchester
Officers assigned to District 11 arrested Mark Butler, 35 at his house on Dorchester Avenue. The officers went to his address to arrest him on an arrest warrant. While arresting Butler, the officers smelled an odd odor emanating from the apartment. When the officers questioned the suspect about the smell he stated he had cats. He later informed the officers that the smell was something he smoked. Officers discovered an amount of marijuana in the apartment and Butler was also charged with Possession of a Class D substance.
Found Property in Boston’s North End
This morning at about 5:05am, an officer from District 1 responded to a report of a firearm in the middle of Hanover Street and Prince Street. On arrival, the officer found a black firearm at that location. The gun was recovered and forwarded to Ballistics.
19 –year-old Arrested with Firearm in Dorchester
Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force along with officers from District 11 observed Alexis Mejia, 19, of Hyde Park in the area of Waldeck and Tonawanda Streets. The suspect ran from officers and discarded a firearm while fleeing. The suspect was eventually caught and arrested. Officers recovered a loaded firearm and ammunition, as well as marijuana. Mejia will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
Suspect Arrested on Isabella Street with Knife
Yesterday morning at about 11:40am, a witness notified a detail officer that there was a person stabbed on Isabella Street. Officers responded to the area and observed two men on the ground as well as a knife. According to the victim, the suspect and him had a verbal argument that escalated to the suspect, Collin Roschell, 33, of Chelsea, stabbing the 38-year-old male in the back. The victim was transported to the Massachusetts General Hospital and the suspect was arrested.
Suspect Arrested with Loaded Firearm on Blue Hill Avenue
This morning at about 2:06am, officers assigned to District 3 received information that a Honda Accord was traveling on Blue Hill Avenue and that an occupant of the vehicle had displayed a firearm. The officers observed a vehicle matching the description given and stopped the vehicle on Blue Hill Avenue and Westview Street. The officers arrested Marimo Mushonga, 26, of Lynn after he was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm. He will be arraigned in the Dorchester District Court on Monday morning.
