Suspect Arrested for Pointing a BB Gun at VictimOfficers of District 14 in Brighton responded to a call for a fight at 36 Ashford Street at 1:35am yesterday morning. A large crowd was dispersing as officers arrived. A victim approached officers and told them that he was just threatened by three males, one of whom pointed what he believed to be a gun at his head. The suspects were located a short distance away standing next to a parked car. As officers were speaking with the suspects, they observed a box of BB’s inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the car yielded a black 4.5 caliber BB Gun. Two of the suspects were question and released, 20-year-old Christopher Reilly of Cambridge was identified and arrested for the assault. He will be arraigned in Brighton District Court on Monday.
Party Hosts Charged for Disorderly House
About 1:40am yesterday morning officers from District 2 responded to 8 Parker Hill Ave for a loud party. Officers were informed that partygoers were urinating off the roof of the house and playing loud music. Officers entered the propped open door and observed an estimated 70-85 people crammed into a small apartment. Residents Sean Broderick, 21, Mark Doyle, 21, are both charged with Keeping a Disorderly House and will before Roxbury District Court Monday morning.
Gun and Drugs Recovered in Dorchester, Pair Arrested
Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force responded to 20 Brandon Street, Dorchester at 10:45am yesterday as part of an ongoing investigation. During the investigation, officers arrested 26-year-old Jermain Berry of Dorchester on an outstanding arrest warrant for Threats. Officers recovered a small amount of marijuana and crack cocaine from inside the apartment. A .22 caliber revolver was also recovered from a closet. Nakia Ali, 25 was also arrested. She and Berry are charged with the Illegal Possession of the Firearm and Drug Possession. They will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Monday.
Firearm Found in Jamaica Plain Yard
Yesterday morning officers from District 13 responded to 60 Iffley Road in Jamaica Plain on a report of a found firearm. According to a witness, someone had been digging holes in the yard at 60 Iffley Road. The witness then located a loaded firearm in one of the holes. Police took custody of the firearm and forwarded it to the ballistic unit for further investigation.
