Beginning at 5:00pm on Wednesday February 1st and ending last night at midnight, Operation “Home Safe” hit the streets of Roxbury and Dorchester. The operation was a huge success netting 55 arrests, 5 guns, 272 moving violations and over 50 parking violations. Specific hotspots were targeted in an effort to deter violent crime, arrest suspects, and seize illegal weapons and drugs. During the operation, officers received plenty of community support and accolades from those in the effected areas.
