At approximately 3:25 AM this morning officers from District 3 responded to 61 Woodruff Way on a report of shots fired. Responding officers found three males suffering from gun shot wounds. One male was located inside a motor vehicle the other two males were located on the ground nearby. One of the males was pronounced dead at the scene and two were taken to area hospitals and remain in critical condition. The vehicle has been removed from the scene and is part of the investigation.This incident took place in the parking lot of the Gallivan Recreation Center. It should be noted that the center was closed at the time of the incident and no known guests or employees of the center were in the area. This lot is isolated at the end of a dead-end street and is not a normal path of travel for pedestrians or motorists. Given the time of occurrence and circumstances known to investigators, it does not appear that this incident was a random act.
