Three Arrested with a Firearm at the Chow ChowOfficers from District 1 responded to 83 Essex Street this morning at 2:45am on a report of a person with a firearm. According to witnesses, the suspect had an altercation with some unknown males and pointed a firearm at them, putting the victims and customers inside the restaurant in fear. The officers were directed to a table in the rear of the restaurant where they observed a group of people. Officers heard something hit the ground near one of the suspects. Further investigation revealed it to be a firearm on the floor. Police arrested Francisco Alvarez, 23, of Lynn and charged him with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct, and for a warrant Possession of Class B from Salem District Court. Also arrested were Milagros Berroa, 21, and Wanda Rodriguez, 19, both of Lynn. The will be charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition. All three will be arraigned in the Boston Municipal Court today.
Sex Offenders Arrested Downtown and in Dorchester
Last night George DaGracia, 33, of Boston was arrested by an officer from District 1 on Tamworth Street. The suspect was arrested as a Level 2 Sex Offender that failed to register. He’ll be arraigned in the Boston Municipal Court this morning. At about 2:26am, officers from District 3 arrested Harold Carr, 50, of Mattapan for failing to register as a level 0 sex offender. He will be arraigned in the Dorchester District court this morning.
Victim Stabbed on Boylston Street
A Detective from District 4 responded to 565 Boylston Street last night at about 9:15pm on a report of a man bleeding from his arm. The Detective located a 52-year-old Charlestown man who stated he had been assaulted by a white male in his 20’s. The victim was transported to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and treated for a stab wound to his arm. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
Store 24 Robbed on Dorchester Avenue
A witness at the Store 24 located at 1420 Dorchester Avenue reports that last night at about 9:10pm, an unknown suspect entered the store holding what appeared to be a firearm under his shirt and robbed the clerk. The suspect fled in an unknown direction. No arrests were made and the incident remains under investigation.
Teen Arrested After Probation Home Visit
A Probation Officer contacted members of the Youth Violence Strike Force last night at about 8:10pm to assist him with a home visit on McClellan Street in Dorchester. On arrival officers arrested Ronnie Langham, 18, of Dorchester for being in possession of a loaded firearm. Langham will be arraigned in the Dorchester District Court today.
