As the officers were pulling the victim to safety, the vehicle began rolling backwards running over the victim’s arm. The Massachusetts State Police, Boston EMS and Boston Fire all responded and assisted the victim and extinguished the burning vehicle. The 51-year-old male victim from Malden was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was treated for an arm injury and smoke inhalation. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
