Student Hit By Motor Vehicle Crossing StreetLast night at 6:13pm, a 21-year-old female crossing the street at 850 Commonwealth Avenue was struck by a 1998 Volvo. The victim was transported to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and treated for leg and arm injuries. No citations were issued to the driver.
Firearm Recovered in Roxbury
Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force and Massachusetts State Police recovered a 9mm firearm on Dabney Street this morning shortly after midnight. The firearm was sent to the Ballistic Unit for further investigation.
Fugitive Arrested After Motor Vehicle Stop in Jamaica Plain
Officers assigned to District 13 in the area of Walnut Park and Wardman Street last night observed a male operating a motor vehicle violating various auto laws. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop and discovered the operator, Jeffery Middleton, 49, of Dorchester was wanted on a Florida warrant issued in 1991 for delivering methamphetamine. He was also wanted in Lowell for Robbery. He was arrested and will be charged as being a Fugitive From Justice today in court.
Three Arrested for Robbery in the Back Bay
An officer walking his beat yesterday afternoon was approached by a 28-year-old victim who stated three teens had just robbed him of his cell phone at Boylston Street and Dartmouth Street. The officer broadcast a description of the three and responded to the Back Bay M.B.T.A. station to look for the suspects. At that location he observed two of the suspects. The officer placed one under arrest while the second fled from the station. He was later apprehended. The third suspect was also apprehended on Aguadilla Street where he was found to be in possession of the victim’s cell phone. One of the suspects was also found in possession of items that were later discovered stolen from Nike Town. Suspect # 1 is a 15-year-old male from Boston, suspect #2 is a 14-year-old male from Boston, and suspect # 3 is Michael Owens, 17, of Roxbury. All three will be charged with Unarmed Robbery and Delinquency to wit: Unarmed Robbery. They will be arraigned in Juvenile and the Boston Municipal Court.
