On Friday night December 23, as part of the Governor’s Highway Safety Bureau “You Drink and Drive You Lose” initiative, Boston Police from District 11 in Dorchester and the Massachusetts State Police conducted a saturation patrol and a sobriety checkpoint. The saturation patrol took place from 8pm to 11pm and resulted in 22 citations for various violations of the auto laws. The sobriety checkpoint began just after midnight and twelve (12) individuals were arrested for Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs. The operation concluded shortly after 2am on Saturday morning. Those arrested will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Tuesday morning.The Governor’s Highway Safety Bureau, the Boston Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police wish everyone a safe holiday season.
