Boston Police Auto Investigators are looking for assistance from anyone who may have information about an accident that occurred on December 4, 2005, at the intersection of Arlington Street and Columbus Avenue in the Park Square area of Boston.At about 2:25 am that morning, an officer from District 1 responded to a radio call for two pedestrians struck by a motor vehicle that failed to stop at the scene. The responding officer arrived on scene and observed two victims being treated by Boston EMS. Both victims were transported to the Boston Medical Center where they were treated for head injuries. A third victim reported a minor injury to his left leg and declined medical attention at the scene. A witness at the scene reported to police that the suspect vehicle was possibly a blue Toyota Avalon. The victims were attempting to cross Arlington Street, walking towards Columbus Avenue while the traffic light was red. While crossing the Street, the suspect vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck them before fleeing the scene without stopping.
