Suspect arrested for Molotov Cocktail IncidentAround 11:45 last night Officers from District 4 responded to 13 Lansdowne Street on a report of an explosion. According to witnesses at the scene, a dark colored vehicle pulled up in front of the Axis nightclub, the driver stepped from the car with what appeared to be a bottle with a flaming rag on top and threw it towards the club. The bottle struck a tree outside the club and did not reach its intended target. The suspect fled the area onto Yawkey Way but not before witnesses were able to take note of the vehicle registration.
The investigation continued and officers learned that the suspect vehicle was registered to a Tewksbury woman. Tewksbury police contacted the vehicle owner and were informed that 28-year-old Mark Recupero (owners son), had taken the car into Boston. Tewksbury officers then spotted the vehicle around 2:30am and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Recupero was placed under arrest for the earlier incident and taken back to District 4 for processing. Arraignment is scheduled for today in Roxbury District Court. This investigation is ongoing.
Loaded Gun Recovered During Traffic Stop
Officers from District 2 recovered a loaded firearm during a traffic stop on Hartwell Street last night around 9:30pm. The car was observed making a turn without signaling and the driver, 22-year-old Jeffery Cirino of Dorchester, was operating after his license was suspended. Three other occupants of the vehicle were asked to exit and officers observed a silver colored handgun on the seat behind the driver. Seventeen-year-old Mathew Pizzaro of Roxbury was sitting behind the driver and was arrested for the gun. Both Cirino and Pizzaro will be arraigned today in Roxbury District Court. A loaded .380 silver handgun was recovered.
Anti-Crime Officers Recover Loaded Gun
Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force recovered a loaded .45 caliber firearm last night around 4:00pm. The location of the discovery is confidential and this investigation in ongoing. No arrests were made in connection with this recovery.
Youth Violence Strike Force Arrest Wanted Person,
At 9:00am this morning, while conducting “Operation Homesafe,” members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested 40-year-old Anthony Freeman of Charlestown. Freeman was wanted in connection with the October 28th stabbing and armed robbery of a Dorchester man.
It is alleged that Freeman and a second male entered the home of the victim and stabbed the victim in the leg. The victim was then robbed of his wallet and wedding ring and both suspects then fled in the victims Lexus.
The investigation continued and warrants were sought for both suspects. Thirty-six-year-old Christopher Freeman was arrested on November 1st, charged with Armed Robbery, Assault with Intent to Murder, Armed Carjacking and Assault and Battery Dangerous Weapon.
Anthony Freeman was taken into custody this morning while riding as a passenger in his mother’s car at the intersection of New Chardon Street and Cambridge Street, Downtown.
