Three Arrested for Firearms Charges

Yesterday afternoon, Officers from District 4 responded to a call for a man being attacked by a group of males at Washington and North Hampton Streets. On arrival the officers were unable to locate the victim. The officers received updated descriptions of the suspects by way of Boston Police Operations. An officer performing a paid detail in Dudley Square heard the broadcast and observed individuals matching the broadcasted description. The Officers from District 4 responded to Dudley and assisted the detail officer in stopping the group.After a lengthy foot chase over fences and through parking lots two firearms were recovered and three individuals were arrested. A 16-year-old male from Roxbury will be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court and charged with Delinquency to wit Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and ammunition. Rakim Sumpter, 17, of Boston is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition. Daron Lampley, 19, of Roxbury is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition, Possession of Class D, and Resisting Arrest. Both will be arraigned in the Roxbury District Court.
