Investigation Update: About 2:11 PM, on Friday, September 18, 2026, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force and the Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male, in the area of 20 Powellton Road. At the time of the arrest, the suspect was wanted on a warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court for the following charges:
- Assault by means of a dangerous weapon
- Carrying a firearm without a license
- Possession of ammunition
- Discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building
Later that evening, B-2 Detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant for 20 Powellton Road. As a result of the search warrant, detectives located and recovered a Smith & Wesson Walther P22 with one round in the chamber and ten rounds in a large capacity magazine.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: About 11:00 PM, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of 185 Dudley Street, Roxbury, for a report of shots fired. Ballistic evidence was recovered on scene and no injuries were reported.
