About 7:59 PM, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of Roxbury Street and Malcolm X Boulevard for a report of a person.
While officers were responding to the scene, officers observed a motorcycle fleeing the area at a high rate of speed down the wrong way on Shawmut Avenue and taking a left onto Madison Park Court. As officers turned onto Madison Park Court, the motorcycle collided with a marked cruiser. When officers exited their cruiser, the occupants of the motorcycle attempted to flee.
A foot chase ensued, and both suspects were apprehended. After returning to the marked cruiser, officers observed a discarded firearm in front of their vehicle. The firearm was determined to be a FN Five-Seven with an obliterated serial number with an empty large capacity magazine. During a search incident to arrest, officers recovered a plastic bag containing multiple individually wrapped bags of crack cocaine.
Officers on scene rendered medical aid to the person shot, and the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A 17-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest and was arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court for the following charges:
- Assault and battery to wit firearm
- Assault with a dangerous weapon
- Carry a loaded firearm without a license, third offense
- Possession of ammunition without an FID card, subsequent offense
- Carry a firearm without an FID card, subsequent offense
- Carry a firearm without a license
- Carry a loaded firearm without a license
- Possession of a large capacity firearm
- Discharge a firearm within 500 feet of a building
- Possession with intent to distribute class B
- Resist arrest
After further investigation, officers also determined that the the juvenile suspect had three active warrants for his arrest for firearm charges, unarmed robbery of a person 60+, assault and battery on a person 60+, larceny under $1,200.
A second suspect, Christopher Amill Jr., 20, of Dorchester, was arraigned in Roxbury District Court for:
- Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
- Assault with a dangerous weapon
- Carry a loaded firearm without a license, second offense
- Possession of ammunition without an FID card, subsequent offense
- Carry a firearm without an FID card, subsequent offense
- Possession of a large capacity firearm
- Discharge a firearm within 500 feet of a building
- Resist arrest
The suspect, Amill, was also issued a Massachusetts Uniform Citation for reckless operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation, and marked lane violation.
