On Thursday, September 10, 2026, officers assigned to District 11 (Dorchester), assisted by the Auto Theft Unit and the Boston Transportation Department, conducted a traffic enforcement initiative throughout Dorchester.
This enforcement initiative comes as the City of Boston continues to address felonious incidents involving operators of mopeds and motorcycles, while also curbing unsafe, illegal, and disruptive behavior.
Throughout the initiative, officers towed twenty-seven (27) mopeds, scooters, and motorcycles and issued two (2) criminal summonses for violations of the auto laws.
The Boston Police Department remains committed to improving traffic safety and will continue to conduct enforcement operations across the city.
