​Drug Investigation Leads to Trafficking Arrest in Back Bay

At about 3:50 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2026, members of the District D-14 (Brighton) Drug Control Unit made an onsite arrest and recovered illegal drugs in the area of 700 Boylston Street in Boston.

As part of an ongoing drug investigation, officers were surveilling the suspect, who was known to have two active warrants, sitting outside of the aforementioned location. Officers observed the suspect ingest drugs via a glass pipe as they approached the suspect and two other individuals.

As officers walked toward the group, the suspect ​pushed an officer and turned​ away in an attempt to flee. A brief struggle ensued in which the suspect dropped a small pouch onto the ground before​ slipping out of his jacket and fleeing.

Additional officers on scene were able to immediately apprehend the suspect who was then taken into custody.

A search of the suspect yielded the recovery of approximately thirty-two grams of Fentanyl. The other two individuals were issued summonses for drug possession.

Officers arrested Keith Curtis, 40-years-old, of Athol. Curtis is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on charges of Trafficking Class A Drugs and Resisting Arrest.
