South End Officers Arrested Juvenile Suspect Following an Armed Robbery

About 3:32 AM, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to the area of 261 Dartmouth Street for a report of an Armed Robbery.

Upon arrival, officers were advised that the suspect brandished a firearm and pointed it at the victim. The suspect demanded money from the cash register and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. A description of the suspect was broadcasted, and a picture was disseminated to responding units.

Officers observed an individual matching the description walking on St. James Avenue. Officers followed the suspect and were able to stop him in the area of 205 Dartmouth Street. The suspect was placed into handcuffs, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was recovered from his bag. A BB gun that was consistent with a Glock style firearm was also recovered from the suspect’s backpack.

A 14-year-old Juvenile male was placed under arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court for the following offenses:

–          Armed Robbery

–          Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
