On Monday, August 18, 2025, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) made an on-sight firearm arrest of a 17-year-old Juvenile Male.
About 1:00 AM, officers responded to an officer in trouble radio call in the area of Old Road and Ellington Street. Officers were attempting to disperse an unruly crowd fighting with reports of injuries.
Two individuals observed the unmarked cruiser and immediately changed their direction of travel with every few steps looking back at officers’ location. Officers exited their cruiser and were able to stop the two males.

Due to the heightened awareness, officers attempted to conduct a pat frisk of both males. One of the males attempted to flee, and the handle of a firearm was seen protruding from his waistband.
The suspect was immediately handcuffed, and the firearm was determined to be a Taurus G2C with eleven rounds in the magazine.
The second individual was summonsed to court for Possession of Class D, and Person Under 21 in Possession of Liquor.
