On Sunday, August 17, 2025, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Eddiarky Nolasco, 18, of Charlestown, for various firearm related offenses.
About 9:05 AM, officers were assigned to assist with dispersing a crowd in the area of Pierpoint Road and Jewish War Veterans Drive. Officers observed an individual wearing a black hoodie, black shiesty ski mask, and a black fanny pack/cross body bag.
As officers approached the individual, he immediately repositioned his fanny pack behind his back, and walked at a faster pace while looking back at the officers. The suspect briefly stopped, but quickly fled on foot while clutching the fanny pack.
A foot pursuit ensued, and the suspect was seen to remove the fanny pack and throw it on the ground. One of the officers recovered the bag and immediately determined the presence of a firearm. A second officer continued to give chase, and was able to handcuff the suspect.
District B-2 Detectives were requested to respond and process the recovered evidence. The firearm was determined to be a Taurus G3C with one round in the chamber and eleven rounds in the magazine. A plastic bag containing twenty-six loose rounds of live ammunition was also recovered from inside the fanny pack.
Nolasco was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court for the following offenses:
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
- Carrying a Firearm without a License
- Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
- Ammunition of Unlawful Caliber
- Resist Arrest
