Two Suspects Arrested and Two Firearms Recovered in Dorchester

On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Demetrius Thomas, 32, of Roslindale, Gimaris Vicente, 20, of Boston, on multiple firearm related offenses.

About 7:34 AM, officers responded to a radio call for a person with a gun in the area of 23 Wilcock Street. Boston Police Operations advised officers that a female passenger inside a vehicle was in possession of a firearm. The operator of the vehicle was also seen to be slumped over in his seat.

Upon arrival, officers observed the vehicle to be running with its interior lights on and radio at a loud volume. Officers observed the female passenger to be matching the description and removed her from the vehicle.

Officers attempted to make contact with the operator of the vehicle who was unresponsive with his head on the steering wheel. Officers made multiple requests for the operator to exit the vehicle which he did not comply with. The driver’s side door was open and attempts were made to remove the operator from the vehicle.

The operator continued to ignore officers’ commands and began to physically resist. As the operator exited the vehicle, a large bag of marijuana fell to the ground. With the assistance of multiple responding units, the suspect was placed into handcuffs.

Officers conducted a pat frisk of the vehicle, and recovered two firearms from inside. District B-3 detectives were requested to respond to the scene and process the evidence. The firearms were determined to be a stolen Ruger LC with one round in the chamber and six rounds in the magazine. The second firearm was a Ghost Gun with eight rounds in a magazine that was capable of holding fifteen total rounds. Two loose rounds of ammunition, and a small plastic bag of crack cocaine was also recovered.
