BPD In The Community: On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Officers from the A-1 (Downtown) Community Service Office participated in The Children’s Winter Festival, a collaborative event hosted by Mayor Michelle Wu, the Parks and Recreation Department, and the Highland Street Foundation at Boston Common. The festival offered a plethora of activities including giveaways, treats, a bouncy house, maze, mega slide, trackless train rides, and live music. Park rangers showcased their horses, the Boston Fire Department allowed kids to explore their truck, and our ice cream table was a hit despite the chilly weather. The Blue Man Group also made an appearance, ensuring a day filled with excitement and joy for all the attending children.
