Investigation Update: At about 11:15 AM, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Dimitri Harris, 31, of Roxbury, in the area of 15 Fenelon Street. The suspect was wanted on outstanding warrants out of Roxbury District Court for assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and vandalism of property. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the original incident are as follows: At about 9:27 PM, on Saturday, August 13, 2023, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of Hollander Street and Crawford Street for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a gun shot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
