At about 6:35 PM, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) arrested Collin Wallace, 34, of Dorchester, on armed robbery charges.
Officers responded to the area of 86 Massachusetts Avenue for a report of an armed robbery in progress. Officers were advised that the suspect took money out of the cash register, and threatened to have a gun. Officers were flagged down by the victim who pointed to the suspect fleeing down a nearby alley. The suspect attempted to climb on top of a small roof to evade officers.
Officers were quickly able to surround the suspect, and he was taken into custody. Officers were able to recover the currency stolen from the cash register. After further investigation, officers were advised that the suspect threatened the victim by stating he had a bomb, and it would explode if the victim did not give him everything.
Wallace was placed under arrest and charged with: Two counts of armed robbery, bomb threat with serious public alarm, and intimidation of a witness. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
